Job Description:

Are you interested in a career that gives you both the opportunity to help people during times of tragedy and a great answer to the question ‘What do you do for a living?’ If so, Aftermath has the right career for you!

Aftermath Services is the premier provider of trauma cleaning and biohazard remediation. For over 20 years, we have provided professional and compassionate services to families, communities, and businesses after traumatic events. We believe that our customers deserve the highest quality service while being treated with dignity and respect.

We are looking for special people to join our team of over 130 crime scene cleanup professionals across the nation. The ideal person for our team is motivated by helping others, interested in a different kind of work and lifestyle and wants to help lead a team. If you like to travel, want different experiences, enjoy being a part of and developing strong camaraderie on a team, are very flexible with your schedule, and are experienced, compassionate, and very customer-focused, this is the job for you. Our talented and dedicated Assistant Supervisors help lift the burden of cleanup from those who are grieving after a tragedy like a suicide, homicide, unattended death, or accident.

As a Crime Scene Cleanup Assistant Supervisor, you must be able to step in and lead, motivate, and problem solve with your team in highly sensitive and emotional situations, oftentimes interacting with families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Additionally, you will be working hand-in-hand with your crime scene cleanup technicians to clean up blood and biological materials, which can range from bodily fluids to excrements to bacteria. The position is physically challenging as you may be required to move or lift objects like furniture to properly remediate the situation. All of our crime scene cleanup professionals are required to wear OSHA compliant personal protective equipment (PPE) during the course of cleanup to minimize exposure and protect against hazards that may cause injury.

We are seeking an Assistant Supervisor who is hardworking, empathetic, has excellent communication skills, strong problem solving skills, effective conflict resolution skills, and is a motivated self-starter. While prior experience in the biohazard industry is a benefit, it is not required. Aftermath provides comprehensive training and certification on safety and compliance, biohazard cleanup process and procedure, and customer service. We are committed to training our Assistant Supervisors for success.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Crime Scene Cleanup Assistant Supervisor are twofold:

-        Customer service: the Assistant Supervisor will work hand-in-hand with the team to clean up after situations like suicides, homicides, unattended deaths, or accidents.  In the absence of the Supervisor, he/she will lead all on-site customer interactions, estimate the project scope, project manage the cleanup, and document and process required paperwork.

-        Team Management: the Assistant Supervisor will aid the Supervisor in coordinating logistics and travel for the team, on-going training of process and procedure and safety and compliance, inventory management, and oversee maintenance of the location and truck.

The Crime Scene Cleanup Assistant Supervisor position offers a competitive market salary along with other benefits, including travel opportunities, overtime and working holiday pay, continuous training and certification, and health, dental, and life insurance, and 401(k) benefits. The position also offers a great pathway for advancement within the Company. Aftermath strongly believes in career development and has a culture of promoting from within. Our field organization, in particular, provides a unique opportunity for rapid career advancement.
